Sally is an award winning Face and Body Artist that calls the Blue Ridge Mountains of Southwestern Virginia home. She is located in Roanoke, VA but travels wide and as far as New Orleans to paint. She says “I love what I do, I have my brushes and painting make up and I am ready to travel.” She was awarded in 2006 by an International Internet contest for original Tribal Body Art Painting and in Jan. 2008 at the Face and Body Art Convention in Orlando, FL. was awarded a trophy for self Face Painting of a flaming skull face. Sally began painting art on canvas at 4 years of age. She was trained in Art and earned degrees at Virginia Commonwealth University; a BFA in Art Education / Painting and Printmaking and at Pratt Institute, NY. an MFA in Painting/Printmaking and Art History. Since 2001 she has been creating on the human canvas Face and Body Art and Henna (Mehndi) designs. She attended the International Face and Body Art Convention in Orlando, FL a convention that offers classes in all aspects of Face and Body Art taught by recognized world masters; she has attended and studied there every year since 2001. She has attended intensive workshops taught by painting masters Olivier Zeglers (see Face book), Nick and Brian Wolf, and Mark Reid.

Sally recently returned from New Orleans Mardi Gras 2010 where she was filmed by Director Spike Lee doing Face Art on the Zulu “Soulful Warriors.” Director Lee is working on a documentary on the come-back after Katrina.
Sally was also filmed at New Orleans Mardi Gras 2010 doing Face Art for MTV’s “Real People.”
Sally always dresses up in a wild beautiful hat and tie-dyed dresses. She also appears dressed as a clown (upon request) for face painting. She can dress for your occasion formal or fun.
